Due to the fact that kapok is a natural plant fibre from the pod of a tree it contains small amounts of tiny sticks, bark and seeds from the inside of the pod. We at Kapok Shop hand clean and fluff the kapok fibre before filling the pillows here in Melbourne Australia, and endeavor to remove all the impurities. It is however normal to have a small amount of the above in a kapok pillow and will not effect your sleeping comfort as they won't be felt through the pillow shell. These are signs that you are sleeping on a natural, unprocessed product and contributing to the health of the planet.
