The Kapok Pillow
                    Naturally The Best!

About me….

"My mother and stepfather were both artists and we lived a bohemian life in Kangaroo Ground Victoria. Although for a time when I was six years old we did live at Heidi, now the Museum of Modern Art in Bulleen where I remember the famous afternoon teas with Sunday and John Reed. I also remember the lovely soft pillows on the beds, not realising at the time that they were kapok, and would be important to me later on in my life.

I was a natural artist and held successful exhibitions from the age of twenty one in Australia and Los Angeles. Although because I put so much into my paintings they took a long time and it was hard to charge enough for it to be worthwhile selling them. I still regret selling some that is for sure.

I have also worked in hospitality and boutique management and as a receptionist and administrator. My most bizarre jobs were cleaning a nightclub on a Greek Island and working as assistant to an Actors Manager in Beverly Hills.

In 2005 I was on the lookout for the perfect pillow for myself and my partner. My mother suggested a kapok pillow remembering them from her childhood and from our time at Heidi. I looked high and low but could not find a kapok pillow to buy new anywhere in Australia. So it got me thinking and I decided to make kapok pillows my new business. The more I read about kapok the more I fell in love with it. The fact that it is not only healthy and light on the planet, but also comfortable when stuffed into a pillow shell!
